Writing: Unnamed Poem

The road is straight
hardly curves
bold I go down it
lost my nerves

Slow I go
Beneath the light
Somewhere I am lost
Out of sight

An intersection approaches
Don’t know which way to turn
Right, left, or straight
Decisiveness I yearn

I’m lost in the country
Abandoned in the town
a hill approaches
On the incline I go down

A stop sign culling me
slows me on my drive
still I search for my destination
for that I will continue to strive
