I have a problem with hiccups. I’m not talking the computer bug kind. I am also not describing the kind of bumps in your life that cause missteps. I am talking about physical involuntary bodily hiccups.
Xie can just think her hiccups away. She chides me and thinks everyone should be able to do it. Needless to say this approach has never worked for me at all. A couple of years ago I looked up online how to cure hiccups since when it happens it completely disrupts everything around until they are gone.
The cure I found that works for me is to take a spoonful full of sugar and swallow it. Why does it work – I don’t know. It may all be a mental process that is purely psychological. I can accept that as long as they go away.
Needless to say I just had the hiccups and went to the break room and had a spoonful of sugar. Hiccups were immediately gone. Thought I would share for those that may also suffer from hiccup problems.
