New Years Resolution

I have some projects I’m going to start as of January 1st, but they are more time sensitive and include a pseudo photo diary. I wouldn’t however call it a new year’s resolution. I have tried the new year’s resolution thing in the past and it never works out. So this year I’m going to have the new year’s resolution that should stick with me the rest of my life...... Read More

Crazy Nintendo Support Call: Smack Wiimote to Fix It
According to this article I found on Digg. Nintendo Technical Support had the user smack the Wiimore against the users palm to fix it. Now as foolish as this seems to some people. Compaq had an issue years and years ago where the hard drives installed in them did not include enough oil. Their techinical support people had you life your computer 2-3 inches above your desk and drop you $2000.00 investment. So this type of scenario is not new. I know I fixed many things from computers to cars by hitting them once in awhile...... Read More

George Orwell’s supressed preface to Animal Farm [Digg]

I know that the English intelligentsia have plenty of reason for their timidity and dishonesty, indeed I know by heart the arguments by which they justify themselves. But at least let us have no more nonsense about defending liberty against Fascism. If liberty means anything at all it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear. -

Why I recommend “Postcards from the Edge”
by Mike Nichols
Postcards from the Edge may be an older movie in a lot of ways (1990), it still has a modern feel. Some people will say 1990 is recent – until you take into realization that 17 year olds who were conceived at the time of this movie shooting will now be voting for president next year.
Carrie Fisher’s writing in the movie feels real. Real in the fact that human emotions feel the way they should, like you would feel if you were going through the same scenario’s. I don’t feel it glossed over emotions, it was unique and something that I can say was genuine film art.
So many films can give you that real emotion, that if you want something that can be truly touching without trying to make you cry, you must see this movie.
