It's one of the things that got pushed off to the back burner, that being said while I didn't like the maemo-publishr applications if I needed to upload pictures from my n810 right now I would email them or ftp them up to a server which will work fairly easy. (if your not comfortable with the command line I would suggest planning on using e-mail as the back up plan). There is a couple other considerations for your unique question. What type of camera are you using - the N810 only works with Mini SD (or Micro SD cards with a mini adapter) - other wise you would have to look at a battery powered usb hub and a gender convert to hookup the the hub to the N810 - clunky but workable if you are taking pictures from a device that didn't use one of the above formats or bluetooth. Now that being said - if you are looking for a quick internet device that could support your SD cards - the Nokia N800 supports SD but you loose the GPS and the keyboard of the N810. If you could go larger - another consideration would be the EEE PC - if you have some more information on how you plan on getting the pictures from the camera onto the n810 I'll be happy to do some tests.
