Akismet did mark an innocent by grandmother as spam once - who would have thought. But since I'm lucky to get a dozen comments a week following up is simple. I get a few hot topics, though it’s always toss away things that don’t require too much thought or interaction with. However, I get so few comments on my blog, it's not hard to pay attention to the ones that are there. Let me revise that: I get so few GENUINE comments on my blog. Spam comments, on the other hand, are abundant - thank goodness for Akismet. It really freaks me out that spammers are still posting hundreds of comments a week on random blogs, hoping to get their latest scam or ad out there. (BTW I had to revise this comment...the first time I did it, I guess I mentioned one of the "herbal" products that the spammers often advertise...and the site thought I was a spammer! HA HA!)
