		<description>I get a few hot topics, though it&#039;s always toss away things that don&#039;t require too much thought or interaction with.   I can tell you that if you use wordpress wp-spamfree is a great plugin to use with Akismet.  I think because of this my spam filter is a little bit more agressive then most.  Akismet did mark an innocent by grandmother as spam once - who would have thought. 

But since I&#039;m lucky to get a dozen comments a week following up is simple.</description>

Spam comments, on the other hand, are abundant - thank goodness for Akismet. It really freaks me out that spammers are still posting hundreds of comments a week on random blogs, hoping to get their latest scam or ad out there.

(BTW I had to revise this comment...the first time I did it, I guess I mentioned one of the &quot;herbal&quot; products that the spammers often advertise...and the site thought I was a spammer! HA HA!)</description>
