On Decem­ber 6th, 2008 the hardi­est of the VCMA mem­bers were down at Red Clay for the arrival of the Chris­mas Tree ship. Tem­per­a­tures were below freez­ing, but the band played on. It wasn’t in the vein of the Titanic’s band since luck­ily the mem­bers that showed up did not go down with the ship. The ship made it through the ice and arrived safely to deliver trees to the won­der­ful cit­i­zens of Vermilion.

From this per­for­mance the band was fea­tured on the Ver­mil­ion Photojournal’s front page and a video on the San­dusky Register’s web­site.
