The worst hotel I stayed in was a Quality Inn. The bathroom had something really gross all over the walls and the maid staff thought I was nuts because I wanted it cleaned! These days I'm much more assertive - if my room is awful, I'm at the front desk immediately getting a new one and a discount. <br><br>Microtel's are really nice - they're clean, the heat/ac works, and the blankets were SOFT, not that typical scratchy hotel blanket most have.
