Today is the day that major internet companies will be turning on IPv6 permanently. I remember in the 1990’s that IPv6 was going to be coming by the year 2000. I remember the mandate that the government would be converted by 2005 (NASA at least hadn’t by the time I left in 2010). I remember customers complaining when i worked in firewall support that our product didn’t support IPv6.
